Tip Top Tux, LLC, the second-largest men’s formalwear retailer in the country, has begun an extensive rebranding effort as part of an aggressive new corporate vision to expand as a cohesive, national omni-channel brand.

Tip Top Tux started as a regional retailer in the Midwest and grew by acquisition to over 100 stores across 13 states.  Focused on trend-right fashion, exceptional service & delivery and attracting and retaining the best employees, the company has positioned itself to be the premier boutique specialty retailer & wholesaler in the formalwear industry.

“The next step in the process is consolidating all of our regional retail chains under the Dapper & Dashing brand and logo. This process will take 12-18 months as we systematically change out signage in our physical stores and update our digital assets,” said John Sabol, CEO of Dapper & Dashing.

Over the past 12 months, the company has gone through an extensive reorganization – bringing in a new executive team, cutting costs to survive the pandemic and consolidating operations in Atlanta, GA. Fueled by a recent round of funding from BOOST&Co out of the United Kingdom and Lloyds Crescendo Advisors out of New York, Dapper & Dashing is well positioned to drive growth and capture share as special events like weddings, proms and galas boot up again post-pandemic.

“We believe that our future is bright.  Dapper & Dashing’s focus is on outfitting life’s most important events – like weddings and proms – that are rites of passage and are not dependent on the economic climate.  As the COVID pandemic subsides, there will be pent-up demand for special events, gatherings and rescheduled weddings that will fuel our growth. Our rebranding is perfectly timed to position the company for success,” Sabol said.

The Dapper & Dashing name is rooted in the company’s commitment to differentiate from its competition in the marketplace. The formalwear rental industry is populated by impersonal big box retailers and small, mom-and-pop chains that incorporate the name of the founder.

“We wanted to convey a more upscale, boutique-like positioning for our brand.  Our omni-channel focus allows us to blend the best of online convenience with an in-store, boutique-like experience for guests planning life’s most memorable events,” said the CEO.
